1: What is the 24x7 Instant Withdrawal?

24x7 Instant Withdrawal is a feature that allows you to withdraw the funds from the Zerodha Overnight Fund and receive the credit in your bank account within minutes. This facility  is available 24x7 via official WhatsApp channel by Zerodha Fund House (+91-9845335486). The withdrawal is subject to T&C.

2: How is it different from standard withdrawal? 

24x7 Instant Withdrawal allows you to withdraw the funds from your investment in Overnight Fund up to allowed limit, in just minutes. It allows you to withdraw funds immediately in case of any emergency. 

3: Who can use the Instant Withdrawal facility?

Any individual investor invested in Zerodha Overnight Fund via non-demat folio can access this facility 24x7 daily via official WhatsApp channel by Zerodha Fund House (+91-9845335486).


4: Can I use this if I hold my mutual fund units in Demat form?

No. This facility is  for investors holding units in Statement of Account (SOA) mode or non-Demat folio. If your folio is a Demat folio, the Instant Withdrawal option will not be visible/ accessible to you.

5: Is this feature available for all Zerodha Mutual Fund schemes?

A: No, the instant withdrawal facility is currently available only for the Zerodha Overnight Fund.

6: How much money can I withdraw instantly? 

A: You can withdraw the lower of the following two amounts per day from Zerodha Overnight Fund:

  1. ₹50,000 (This is the regulatory cap per day, per scheme, per investor/ PAN).

  2. 90% of your current portfolio value.

7: How exactly is my "Withdrawable Balance" calculated? 

A: The system calculates your limit in real-time using these steps:

  1. Check Portfolio Value: We take your total units invested in Zerodha Overnight Fund (minus any units on hold/pledged) and multiply them by the last available NAV.

  2. Apply Regulatory Cap: We calculate 90% of that portfolio value and find the lower of ₹50,000 and your withdrawal balance.

  3. Deduct Today's Withdrawals: If you have already made an instant withdrawal today, that amount is subtracted from your total limit.


8: Why can’t I withdraw 100% of my money instantly? 

A: The 90% limit is the regulatory limit. Having a 10%  amount set-out ensures the fund never pays out more than the actual value of your units. However, you can always withdraw the remaining balance using the normal withdrawal option.

9: Does my withdrawal limit reset? 

A: Yes. The ₹50,000 limit applies per day. Your limit refreshes at the start of the next calendar day.

10: How do I place an Instant Withdrawal request? 

A:

  1. Send “Hi” to WhatsApp by Zerodha Fund House (+91-9845335486)

  2. Tap on “Track & Invest” 

  3. Select “24x7 Instant Withdrawal” option on home page

  4. Enter desired amount (less than the allowed withdrawable balance) and proceed

  5. Authenticate the request using the OTP sent to your registered mobile/email.

  6. Once verified, the money is transferred within minutes

  7. You will get a confirmation message on WhatsApp once credit is initiated

11: How long does the transfer take?

A: The funds are transferred via IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) immediately after your OTP is verified. You should receive the credit in your bank account within minutes. This is subject to delays that may occur due to banking or network issues beyond the AMC’s/ Fund House’s control. 

12: Which bank account will receive the money?

A: The funds are transferred to the primary bank account registered to your folio.

13: Which NAV (Net Asset Value) applies to my instant withdrawal?

A: As mandated by the regulation, the NAV is applied based on the time of your request:

  • Up to 7:00 PM: The lower of the Previous Day's NAV or the Current Day's NAV.

  • After 7:00 PM: The lower of the Current Day's NAV or the Next Day's NAV.

15: Why don't I see the 24*7 Withdrawal option on Zerodha Fund House WhatsApp? 

A: The option is not available if:

  • You are holding units in Demat folio (it is only for SOA mode ).

  • You are a Non-Individual investor (e.g., Corporate).

  • You do not have sufficient "free" units (e.g., units that are not pledged or on hold).

16: What happens if my Instant withdrawal transaction fails? What happens next? 

A: If the bank transfer fails (e.g., due to a bank server issue), the system will mark the transaction as failed and the withdrawal will not be processed. You will be notified, and you can try again later.

17: Can I cancel an Instant withdrawal request?

A: No. Because the payout is processed instantly via IMPS, the request cannot be cancelled once you have entered the OTP and the transfer is initiated.
