Investing through the Exchange Platform

Can the investor subscribe to units in Zerodha Mutual Fund through the exchange platform (NSE/BSE/ICEX)?

Investors can buy units of Zerodha Mutual Fund in Demat form from NSE and BSE platforms.

In case of purchase, in whose name should the cheque be issued?

Zerodha Mutual Fund endorses SEBI’s go green initiative and encourages investors to make use of our digital means to invest in Zerodha Mutual Fund. Transactions through these means use digital payment modes like UPI/Net Banking/OTM/E-mandate/RTGS/NEFT etc. Cheque transfers shall be accepted in exceptional scenarios only in case of any digital outages etc. Investors can transfer the funds online in such cases. 

Will the investor get any acknowledgement for the transactions?

Every successful financial/non-financial transaction shall be followed by a confirmation communication to the registered contact details of the investor.

Is it mandatory for the investor to have a Demat account for placing transactions for the purchase/sale of units of Zerodha Mutual Fund through this platform?

No, it is not mandatory to have demat account to place transaction through the exchange platform. It depends on the platform through which the investor is placing the order. Some platform requires investors to have the demat account whereas other platforms provides the facility to invest through SOA/non-demat mode as well.

Can the investor switch the units using the exchange platform?

Yes. If you hold the units in Demat form, you can make use of the exchange platforms for the transactions.

Is this facility available for new investors?

Yes, subject to KYC compliances, new investors can start investing through these platforms. 

Can an investor register for SIP through the exchange?

Yes.
